After the long summer holiday, we got to get back to the progress of our Tech Project. During the holiday, we managed to built and improved the prototype of coil generator. We had carried out the off vehicle test, and some result were captured.
Now, we moves to the next step in the progress, where we need to fit the generator device into the car and test it. We had planned and identified few locations to fit the device on, but it seems like on most of the locations, the device won't fit well due to the space constrain in the suspension area. After few considerations, finally we decided to place the generator on the top of the suspension, which is inside the trunk area. We have fitted one sturdy rod to connect the generator to the suspension lower arm. Figure 6.0 below shows location of the generator and how it was connected to the suspension's lower arm.

After the fitment, we have tested the output of the generator by oscillate the particular suspension with car not moving . It is to confirm that the device is working the way we it to. It seems that it's working perfectly. Now we have to tidy up the fixing bracket and make some adjustment on the magnet position. At this stage, the adjustment of the magnet position is important in order to produce the optimum output.
